What Is Tarot & How Often Should I Get A Reading?
Well, I'm going to explain my own personal take on Tarot. Tarot is a very personal process and many people have their own understanding of what Tarot means to them.
I use Tarot cards as a tool to give guidance/advice and some insight to different situation and areas of life.
Each Tarot deck has 78 cards and each of these individual cards holds its own meaning, a story behind it. Good Tarot readers will use intuition and understanding of each card to see what the cards are trying to tell us in each reading.
Tarot can tell us information about our past, any issues or blockages we have, things happening in our present and even give us a glimpse of how our futures could potentially look like! Now the future part usually gets people all excited thinking the tarot will predict exactly how their life will pan out. But that's not quite how it works.
Every person has free will! We all make our own choices and decisions in our lives which will have either a positive or negative effect. Tarot cards can give us advice and guidance and a will point out things that MAY happen in your future IF YOU want them too and if you follow the guidance given by the cards. Its your choice if you take the advice given by the Tarot cards or not. If something comes up in your present or future part of a reading which you don't like then YOU CAN change it. You have free will. The Tarot will never leave you hanging so to speak, they will always give you some advice and guidance on where to make changes, which road to take etc etc.
Now, how often should you get a reading done?
Well this is a very personal issue but in reality there is absolutely no point going from one reader to the next asking the same questions expecting different answers. Tarot reading need to be respected and over use will end in confusion, which is exactly the opposite to why most people would get a Tarot Reading.
Now there is no reason why you cant get Tarot Readings done often IF they are for different areas of your life. Most people really like having one reading concentrating on one area of life, such as, love, work, family etc. I personally wouldn't get a reading done myself more than once a fortnight when focusing on a particular areas of my life and each new reading being on a different topic.
If getting a general reading for guidance, advice and insight on your life as a whole then there really isn't much point of getting them done more than a few months apart. You need to give your life a chance to live. You need to allow things to happen and a chance and move forward, these changes don’t always happen within a few days or even months. If you continue to get general reading on a weekly basis on the same area/subject then again – you’re running into the risk of confusion and the same advice coming through in all your readings.
So that’s a little bit of info on my own take of Tarot – now some people may feel differently, Tarot is very personal to the reader and the querent. You may find a Tarot Reader who is willing to do reading after reading for you, my advice would be to avoid these types of readers, especially if you are paying them for readings as they are most likely just wanting to take your money not actual offer you real guidance and insight. All of the fantastic Tarot Reader I know will not do the same reading for someone time and time again, then ask for the querent to give a reasonable amount of time between reading before approaching the same subject again.
